Attention!March 13, 2010 - Asheville, NC - Shamrock 10K Sisters of Mercy Presents the Asheville Catholic School Shamrock Run on March 13. Both the 5K and 10K courses have been redesigned so both races start and finish on the Asheville Catholic School campus. In addition to the usual overall, masters and age group awards, a special award will go to the most creative Irish-themed costume. Just like on St. Patrick’s Day, at the Shamrock Run, every runner is Irish. March 27, 2010 Chattanooga TN. Rock/Creek River Gorge Trail Race 10.2M trail run, 6.5M trail run The race starts inside the Prentice Cooper WMA, on the Cumberland Trail. From Downtown Chattanooga, take Hwy 27 North to Hwy 127 North (Signal Mountain). Go 1.9 miles, turn left onto Suck Creek Road.  Continue for 8.2 miles, turn left towards Prentice Cooper State Forest.  Follow the signs 0.7 miles to the entrance area of Prentice Cooper.  Stay on Tower Road approximately 2 more miles until you see race day activity in the Cumberland Trail parking lot.

May 8,2010 0900AM Brevard Academy School is putting on its running shoes in preparation for its 2nd Annual “Dash With Mom 5k Race and Fun Run”. The event will take place at 9am Saturday May 8th at the Brevard Music Center, Brevard NC. This scenic race, which is a two-loop course in and around the school campus, will help raise funds for Brevard Academy. It is geared to promote health and fitness among its students and staff. This year’s race will also include a kids’ one mile Fun Run. Early registration begins April 1st, with first 100 registered runners receiving a T shirt. Cash awards will be given for top 3 race finishers, and additional awards given for the top 3 finishers in 13 different age brackets. “Fastest Mom/Son” and “Fastest Mom/Daughter” teams will also receive awards. June 5, "Run on the Wildside" 8K Trail Race, NC Arboretum, Bent Creek, NC A race to benefit Mothers Against Drunk Driving- MADD. This race named above will be held at the NC Arboretum on Saturday, 5 June 2010 at 8am. Registration is through WWW.SETUPEVENTS.COM. The Highway Patrol is working with other law enforcement agencies and the National Guard to promote this event. Ingles Markets and Biltmore Baptist Church are two of the primary sponsors. Governor Perdue will attend the race along with other members of State Government to support employee health and MADD.
